I'm always more fascinated by peoples reactions to famous landmarks than I am by the landmarks themselves. The human need to capture the image in front of us, the postcard picture. Seen, photographed, 'oooohhh and aahhh'ed' over daily is overwhelming.
I was initially tempted to rant on about how we seem to miss out on the actual experience that we are living, our moment spent inside the postcard we recognise, as a result of the need to personally capture it ourselves in our little camera-shaped box of memories. I know realise that I may have missed more than most, as I spent the majority of my time at these landmarks with my back to the view. Just a few from an ongoing idea of mine...
